在FRED里用高斯光束集（beamlets）表述相干光源，光源的光束網(wǎng)格空間用于確定光束集的束腰和發(fā)散角。為了恰當(dāng)?shù)貙ο喔晒馐鴤鞑ヌ匦赃M(jìn)行建模，光束集必須保持高斯型分布。結(jié)果，一些高斯光束要計(jì)算近似的網(wǎng)格尺寸以及相干光源的光線數(shù)。附件中的腳本程序利用欲得的光源參數(shù)計(jì)算并顯示新的相干光源的輸入。該計(jì)算器適于如下光源類型： Z/O5Dear/h =ove#3 簡易光源（Simplified Source） `Os@/S oh|Q&R 準(zhǔn)直光源或平行光源（Collimated Source or plane wave） o4U9jU4 <" f`T#=6C4| 激光束（Gaussian 00 mode) mkgDg y xse8 fGs 復(fù)雜光源（Detailed Source） Zhf+u
